During COP28, 117 countries agreed to triple production of renewable energy before 2030. To achieve this goal we need each and every company to contribute. Knauf builds more renewable energy in Denmark
Nobody can decide over the color of the power in their sockets. Black and green power is always mixed in grids. But Knauf is feeding renwable power from 9.5 km of solar panels solar panels into the grid via The 0-Mission.
Through production from the solar park, Ingerslev Å, in Norddjurs, Knauf has contributed to avoiding the emission of approximately 2475 tons of CO2e. This is equivalent to approximately 4,696 return flights from Copenhagen to Madrid.
To limit climate change all companies must empower the green transition. Via The 0-Mission, Knauf contributes to a business case for 100% privately financed power based on solar energy.
A nearly 4 km long hedgerow provides shelter and food for insects, bees and birds in the park. In addition, grass and wildflowers have been planted to optimize biodiversity. Starting from a baseline, we can follow the development over the years.
Knauf is a Danish building materials manufacturer and has produced building materials and provided know-how and services to the Danish construction industry for more than 50 years. Together with our customers and partners, we create the framework for better and more responsible construction in Denmark every day.
