A.C. Perchs Thehandel contstructs more solar power with The 0-Mission

Through the partnership with The 0-Mission, A.C. Perchs Thehandel contributes to the generation of renewable power from a solar park in Norddjurs municipality. Together with other Danish companies, A.C. Perchs Thehandel drives the development of new renewable energy capacity in Denmark while supporting improvements to local habitats and biodiversity. The park’s developer has also implemented extensive measures to prevent human rights violations throughout the solar park’s value chain. Through this collaboration, A.C. Perchs Thehandel is actively accelerating the green transition.

The Partnership in Short

During COP28 117 countries agreed to triple production of renewable energy before 2030. To achieve this goal we need each and every company to contribute. A.C. Perchs Thehandel supports the construction of more renewable energy in Denmark by partnering up with The 0-Mission.

150 m solar panels

Nobody can decide the color of the power in their sockets. Black and green power is always mixed in grids. However, A.C. Perchs Thehandel contributes to feeding approximately 100 MWh into the grid. 150 m solar panels produces the power.

45 tonnes of CO2e

Via production of power in solar park Ingerslev Å in Norddjurs, A.C. Perchs Thehandel avoids approximately 45 tonnes of CO2e , which roughly corresponds to 86 Return flights from Copenhagen to Madrid

privately financed solar park

To limit climate change all companies must empower the green transition. Via The 0-Mission A.C. Perchs Thehandel contributes to a business case for 100% privately financed power based on solar energy.

Biodiversity

Between the panels bees, insects and flowers are thriving. A beetlebank was created and areas of tossock grassland and shrups was planted around a pond. Native planting belts will over time provide a visual screen for neighboors.

A.C. Perchs Thehandel is a traditional Danish business that has existed since 1835. Many know them for their high-quality tea and the cozy atmosphere in their tea salons across the country – but the company’s impact goes beyond that. A.C. Perchs Thehandel is run with a focus on sustainability and responsibility. In addition to being a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, A.C. Perchs Thehandel is now expanding its efforts by contributing to the development of more renewable energy through a subscription with The 0-Mission. The subscription covers A.C. Perchs’ electricity consumption in Denmark.
